This helps in making the floor stain resistant and adds to easy maintenance of the high gloss finish. Always opt for a sealant that is both oil and water resistant. For best results sealant application must be carried out along with the restoration process. It is advisable to reseal the floor once every 3 years.
5.Prevent Scratches
To the extent possible try to avoid scratches on your marble. Marble is soft stone and can be subjected to scratches easily. Some common steps to avoid scratched are,
- Stick felt pads at the base of your furniture
- Plastic wheels either from a vacuum cleaner or from luggage trolley must be cleaned before being rolled on marble floors
- Metal tips from mops must be well cushioned
